Job Description:
Primary Responsibilities:
· Write automated tests at the unit, services/integration, and UI layers using Visual Studio
· The Software Developer in Test will be working in a demanding software development
environment, with tight timelines and frequent releases and will be responsible in helping to
ensure the quality and accuracy of our enterprise software applications
· Communicate with product owner in creating acceptance tests as part of the requirements, and execute those tests manually, as well as automate them
· Manage the team’s automated test case inventory
· Provide technical guidance, when needed to other members of Quality Assurance, Software Engineering, Product Management and Product Support
· Produce and maintain test coverage reports
· Analyze defects and/or test results to accurately pinpoint areas of concern or potential points of failure within the software
· Participate in the constant improvement of our Test Automation, and Continuous Integration practices
· Write SQL queries as part of data setup, as well as to verify test results in manual and automated testing
· Requirements:
· Ability to write intermediate SQL code
· Ability to write code in an object-oriented language, such as C#, Java, Ruby, C++, VB.Net
· Experience collaborating with developers and business analysts to ensure a quality software application
· Self-motivated, detail oriented, and high degree of organization skills
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
· Experience with Quality Assurance methodologies and software testing
· Knowledge of software test case design techniques like boundary value, decision table, pairwise, state transition, use case testing
· Experience using automated testing tools, specifically test automation with Visual Studio and Microsoft Test Manager
· Experience developing your own testing tools to facilitate testing a plus
· Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS)
· Knowledge of .NET platform including WCF and service orientated architecture
· Knowledge with .NET build processes
