Job Title: Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) Expert
Location: Chelmsford, MA
Duration: 3-4 months
Start date: ASAP
Position Summary:
Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) Expert will be responsible for the day to day operation support of the Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) enterprise application, including user inquiries, incident management and system bug fixes. Additionally, provide analysis, design, and development (configuration/extracts/interfaces) for application initiatives, including upgrade and deployment support for the Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) environments. Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) Expert will also partner with the business community to understand their processes/ requirements and the utilization of technology/ applications. Additionally Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) analyst will work closely with other development/technical teams, participating in change management and problem management process. Years of Experience:
• Minimum of 3 year implementation and support of Oracle Knowledge/InQuira
• Minimum of 3 years design of content structures, taxonomy and other key components of knowledge management systems
• Minimum of 2 years design and implementation of governance and operating mechanisms for knowledge management Technical Requirements:
•Experienced (hands-on) providing technical application support for Oracle Knowledge (InQuira) Information Manager/ Information Center •Experience on working in Windows SQL Server Environment •Experience with the operation, configuration, and support of enterprise systems/applications
Job Description:
•Experience with application/server log analysis, including investigation and follow-up of anomalies
•Ability to constructively interface with 3rd party application vendor (Oracle) to report, investigate, and escalate technical trouble tickets/service requests
•Good understanding of web architecture including application servers such as Tomcat and IIS (preferred)
•Experience with Java Application Development (preferred)
•Experience with Source Control Software Systems (preferred)
•Experience with Windows Batch Scripting (preferred)
•Good understanding of ITIL processes such as incident management, problem management and change management (preferred)
•Good understanding of testing methodologies and experienced in writing test scripts for functional validation, unit testing, integration testing (preferred) Other Requirements:
•Excellent troubleshooting and strong analytical skills with a solutions oriented mindset are required
•Must be able to independently study documentation, manuals, knowledgebase’s, etc.To understand system architecture and apply abstract knowledge to actual system implementations.
•Must have excellent verbal/written communication and listening skills and strong work ethic •Must have ability to learn quickly, be comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and committed to meeting deadlines and creating and improving processes
•Must have the ability to work independently and within a team environment
•Must be self-motivated; able to plan work effort and manage to schedule and priorities
•Must be detail oriented and possess excellent organizational skills
