Job Title : Capacity Analyst
Location : Alpharetta, GA
Duration : 6+ Months
Job Description:
- Knowledge and experience performing System Capacity Planning with large distributed systems based on Windows and VMware. UNIX desirable.
- Experience in system capacity planning for systems based on: IIS, SharePoint, MS-SQL,
- Experience building analytical capacity forecast models with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience using System Performance Measurement and Application Instrumentation Tools - HP Open view suite including Service Health Reporter and Performance Manager, Foglight or similar. In depth knowledge of native tool usage and relevant system metrics..
- Bachelor Degree in a related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or equivalent job experience.
- Minimum 8 years experience in Information Technology role
- Minimum 4 years in a Capacity management role.
- Excellent knowledge of ITIL Capacity management process.
- Demonstrates analytical and systematic approach to problem solving.
- Excellent analytical and modeling skills.•
- Communicates fluently orally and in writing and can present capacity information to technical audiences.
- Ability to plan, schedule and monitor work activities in order to meet time and quality.
- Ability to absorb rapidly new technical information and apply it effectively.
- Understanding of wider field of information systems, its use in relevant areas of business and how it relates to the activities of the customer.
- Maintains awareness of developing technologies and their application and takes responsibility for personal development.
- Ability to build good relationships both within the Quality Assurance & Test team and with other teams.
- Ability to work across multiple projects.
- Ability to work and team effectively with clients and other management personnel across geographies.
- Ability to deal with escalations and difficult situations/people under pressure.
- Good management, interpersonal, communication, organizational and decision-making skills.
