Job Title: MySQL DBA
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: 6+months
Start date: ASAP
Job Description:
• Implement and maintain the database design
• Create database objects (tables, indexes, etc.)
• Write database procedures, functions and triggers
• Assist developers with database activities
• Documentation of existing schemas
• Consolidation of existing schemas (Base schema + Patches, initialize scripts etc...)
• Perform database tuning(Database/OS) related and performance monitoring
• Perform application tuning(Queries, Query size, resultset size etc..) and performance monitoring
• Monitor application related jobs and data replication activities
• Tools/Plan for data generation (Functional/Integration and Load testing)
• Experience with code and database migration/management through various stages of the development life cycle
• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
• Ability to understand business domain/process working with cross functional teams (Application, DBA, Release etc....)
• Work as part of a team and provide 7x24 support when required
