Job Title:        Project Manager//AAJP00003564
Location:        Ft.Worth,TX
Duration:        2-3 months with possibility of extension

Job Description:
Manage multiple IT projects in support of development in Passenger Service System (PSS). Lead programs and projects in the areas of US PSS Integration and PSS Modernization initiatives interacting with technology partners and business and IT organizations.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
  • 5-7 years of project management experience required


Responsibility level:

  • Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor


Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage one s time
  • Knowledge of project management processes, both iterative and Agile
  • Thorough knowledge of and experience using MS Project
  • Working knowledge of application development processes
  • Experience leading requirements gathering and requirements documentation
  • Proven track record that demonstrates the ability to analyze and solve complex business issues
  • Ability to build strong project teams and working relationships
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience working with a variety of business departments is desired
  • Ability to understand technical development projects, and work closely with a highly skilled technical team
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and experience working with business partners, technical teams and all levels of management


Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects, working in collaboration with a diverse group of business and technology partners to identify and analyze project requirements
  • Work with technology provider to identify potential business and innovative technology solutions
  • Collaborate with business units to define the project scope, timeline, and business case justification
  • Facilitate team sessions
  • Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity
  • Coordinate competing needs across departments, leveraging application's capabilities and features to solve business problems and create employee engagement
  • Provide project status communication to stakeholders
  • Create and submit Project Approval/Funding Documents
  • Track project financial
  • Create Roadmap for project
  • Create, track and status project and coordinate project activity using Rally or Microsoft project
  • Direct project team to deliver functionality on time and with the highest quality
  • Log and mitigate project issues/risks
  • Effectively manage change
  • Track project financial to budget and create monthly forecasts of project spend
