Mandatory Technical Skills
o Excellent knowledge of hardware (Memory, CPU, Disk, NIC etc), network (compute nodes, storage cells, Infiband switch, PDU issues
Desirable Technical Skills
o Co-ordinate hardware replacement (Memory, CPU, Disk, NIC etc) with Oracle Platinum support following proper change management procedures
o Troubleshoot compute nodes, storage cells, Infiband switch, PDU issues
o Work with networking on issues with Ethernet switches
o Manage data gathering of Oracle SRs
o Provide general level1 support for OEL, OS backups (Tivoli storage manager, Tivoli data protector) and Kerberos /Likewise AD integration
o Work with Oracle on any heartbeat issues or connection problems with Oracle ASR/Oracle Platinum gateways
o Support database implementation on Exadata as needed
Mandatory Functional Skills Knowledge of Banking and Financial services is a plus
