| Need Linux Web Administrator in Northern NJ Long Term Local candidates only, in person interview is a must. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree OR a minimum of 4 years supporting web infrastructure running in a Linux and/or UNIX environment Minimum of 4 year of operational expertise with configuration / change control and source-code management methodologies Minimum of 4 year of experience performance tuning LAMP based web applications Minimum of 4 year of experience performance tuning J2EE web applications Excellent written and verbal communications detail oriented Proactive approach Skills: Linux = 5 years preferable or minimum 4 years of a Unix operating system Apache = 5 years PHP = 5 years of infrastructure support of PHP shell scripting = 5 years with bash, csh, or perl Knowledge of load balancer principles Knowledge of tcp networking Akamai / CDN experience is nice to have. Responsibilities: Manage web environment design, deployment, development and maintenance activities. Perform testing and quality assurance of web sites and web applications. Support and enhance business-critical web infrastructure for all consumer facing environments. Own installation, configuration, integration, and management of web infrastructure software, including but not limited to: Apache webservers; LAMP environments, Python environments, and Tomcat application servers; Research and recommend emerging technologies in partnership with Solutions Architects to meet evolving business requirements and to strengthen the tech stack Resolve technical issues for managed software and aid in application troubleshooting. Must have the ability to analyze a situation, take control of the process and guide the team to a resolution Automate common workflows via bash, perl, python, or other scripting languages Manage and execute infrastructure upgrades to stay current with industry standards or contract requirements |
