Location: Redmond, WA

Job Description:
 
As part of the Surface design verification team, we are looking to hire a candidate who will be responsible for setup and execution of motherboard test plans.
The testing is broad in scope and includes testing interfaces (DRAM, eMMC, SATA, USB, MIPI, PCIe, SDIO, I2C, etc), clocks, switch-mode and linear convertors in Surface tablets to ensure our products meet and exceed defined targets necessary for an excellent customer experience. 
 
Skills:
BS, MS or PhD in EE required and/or
10-15 years of relevant experience.
Minimum BSEE/BSCE with 3 years of experience ·      
Familiarity with computing architecture ·      
Familiarity with high speed and low speed electrical interfaces (PCIe, USB 3.0, SATA, MIPI, SDIO, UART, I2C, SPI, etc) ·      
Detailed working knowledge with test and measurement equipment such as logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc ·      
A successful candidate must be able to quickly understand a design, write a verification plan and document results for analysis ·      
Ability to develop and execute adversarial testing along with debugging failures for root cause analysis ·      
Candidate must have skills in creating and debugging test patterns ·      
Candidate must understand testing at both module and system level ·      
Familiarity with automation and scripting languages is a plus
