Must Have Skills:
• Excellent analytical and strong communication skills are required
• Responsible for the logical & physical design and implementation of databases and data systems
• May be involved in resolving complex data related issues
• Support development activities across development teams
• Participate collaboratively with project team members
• Design data models, database structures and that align with data management principles.
• Review database architectures and designs to ensure compliance with corporate objectives for data integrity and quality, performance, management, scalability, etc.
• Define/maintain documentation standards and implement within the team development process
• Define/maintain the data management strategy to be used across data domains i.e. policies and best practices
• Prepares documentation in support of data management activities
• Must have personal organization skills, problem solving and decision making skills
• Evaluate and design logical and physical databases; use modeling techniques to analyze and specify data usage within specific areas; define logical views and physical data structures.
• Adheres to company documented development standards and best practices
• Experience with Oracle 11g RAC with high availability systems
• Experience with SAP Sybase Power Designer is a prerequisite
• Experience creating data dictionaries and working with Application developers to articulate the data functional areas.
• Experience with XSD models and transforming the model to a physical model
