Job Title: Performance Test Engineer
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration : 6+ Months
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Implement process to support client side and agile performance testing
  • Support delivery and configuration of the test environments
  • Instrument DynaTrace to help with collecting performance data for analysis
  • Analysis of thread dumps and Heap dumps part of performance issues triaging.
  • Apply understanding to assess, identify and remediate latency, capacity or efficiency issues at every layer of the overall application
  • Guide application load testing, ensuring relevance and investigating / remediating issues as found
  • Collect useful information to enhance performance through design, architecture, and development as it happens
  • Design test framework to support client side and agile performance testing
  • Work on necessary POC on performance testing.
  • Analyze the performance and application logs and pin point the issue
  • Analyze the DB Metrics like buffer pools, Disk reads and writes and IO issues
  • Provide guidance and mentoring on testing strategy and implementation to testing and development team members
  • Build performance trending reports and provide performance analysis
  • Work closely with product owner, architecture, and development team to understand project vision and identify reasons and values for testing performance and execute the testing
  • Work on new tools and perspective on leading industry trends, on new and emerging technologies, technology prototypes, and engineering process improvements
  • Work and Define high level performance testing standards, best practices, processes and guidelines
  • Work with minimal supervision providing tactical leadership while demonstrating appropriate technical, cultural, and political awareness, tact and sensitivity
 
 
Required Skills :
 
  • Must have Experience in Loadrunner, Performance center, Dynatrace and Tivoli(Opnet and Wily knowledge is required)
  • Dynatrace set up and instrumentation
  • Unix/Shell scripting/commands knowledge for analysis of logs on servers
  • Experience with XML, XSL technologies to support simulation of data for load testing.
  • Experience or Java programming knowledge
 
Nice to have :
 
  • Experience in DB programming - MongoDB, MySQL or any RDBMS
  • Expertise on Java/J2EE applications
  • Banking Domain Skills
