Amazon Web Services (AWS) Architect
Location: New York
Duration: 6 months
Client: Wipro / McGraw-Hill
Responsibilities
· Migrate scalable web applications(LAMP) to AWS
· Performance Characterization, optimization and fine tuning of web applications, data layer(Especially LAMP based applications)
· Lead the architecture and design of scalable application and data platforms, solutions and technology building blocks
· Lead and provide technical leadership to a team of technical leads and developers.
· Engage customer team and provide thought leadership
Skills Required
· 10+ years of overall work experience architecting and building (hands-on) distributed and highly scalable solutions:
· Strong hands-on experience in building distributed and highly scalable platforms for hosting web applications
· Strong experience architecting, building and migrating solutions for AWS.
· Good experience with performance characterization and performance optimization and fine tuning of the full stack (web, app and data tier)
· Working experience at optimization and fine tuning at the Data storage layer (MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra or such)
· NoSQL data stores especially Cassandra
· Experience with technologies in the Big data ecosystem will be a plus
Strong work experience in more than one of the below technology areas is required.
Programming Languages:PHP, JavaScript, Python, Ruby
Cloud:AWS (Elastic Load Balancer, EC2, S3, RDS)
Middleware Technologies: Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, Glassfish, IIS, RabbitMQ, Zookeeper, kafka, redis, memcached, IronMQ
Data Store:MySQL, Cassandra, SQL, NoSQL databases
