Equinix is looking for a Senior Software Developer position. Given the magnitude of the project, we need a candidate who is very seasoned and has good experience in REST web services and No-SQL database (must have skills). We’d expect the candidate to be culturally fit as well with high energy, passion & agility.
Responsibilities:
· Leading the architecture, design, implementation, and testing for mission critical systems.
· Own development tools, processes, quality/performance for development work.
· Collaborate with product management, Business Analysts and engineering teams to estimate and plan work.
· Reports critical issues to leadership team and management effectively, timely and with clarity.
· Hands-on system design and development.
Qualifications and Experience:
· 8-12 years of experience in software development.
· Experience in architecting and building large scale web services requiring high availability and high scalability.
· Must have extensive hand-on experience with J2EE (JMS, Web Services, JDBC, Servlets, JMX etc.), Spring, Hibernate, caching technologies, RDBMS and NoSQL.
· Must have deep knowledge of OO concepts & experience with UML modeling.
· Ability to effectively communicate across globally distributed cross-functional teams and roles.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
· Experience with emerging technologies such with MongoDB, play framework is a huge plus.
· Experience with agile methodologies is a strong plus.
