Job Description: 

                Digital Visual Designer required, ideally with experience of designing B2B and/or B2C online stores. 
 
Role description 

 
  • We are looking for a digital visual designer, with proven creative digital experience on large sites, tablet and mobile builds, as well as smaller specific focussed projects. 
  • This is a design role, rather than a UI development role. 
  • Solid Adobe CC skills (In particular, Photoshop and Illustrator) are a prerequisite. 
  • Knowledge of the UX process and HYBRIS would be a distinct advantage. 
  • Working onsite within an embedded technical delivery team, and working alongside a UX lead, you will be responsible for the visual design of an innovative B2B online store for a market leading company, responsible for the entire visual design lifecycle, from initial creative mock ups through to final visual design execution. 
  • You will be based onsite with the client for 4 days a week, with a day a week with the option of working remotely.
  • We are looking to offer an initial 3 contract, commencing December 2014. 

     
Essential / Desirable Skills: 

 
  • Experience designing online portals - must have a portfolio available 
  • Able to both take direction, and work autonomously when required 
  • Strong communication skills, with ability to take direction from, and create briefs with, various departments.
  • Able to develop and present mock-ups; Ability to present work directly to stakeholders and clients. 
  • Experience of responsive design 
  • Adobe CC - in particular Photoshop and Illustrator 
  • Passion for emerging technologies and cross platform devices, including mobile, tablets and apps 
  • Keeping abreast of emerging design techniques, trends and programs 
  • Pro-active, organized and flexible to rapidly changing priorities 
  • Brand management/Product interface design 
  • Be responsible for the execution of creative elements, acting effectively as an internal agency 
  • Interpreting the client’s brief and developing their existing style guide where required 
  • Presenting finalized ideas and concepts to clients; working with a wide range of media, including photography and illustration; proof reading a nice to have; contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief 
  • Keeping abreast of emerging technologies in new media (nice to have) 
  • Working as part of a team. Collaborating with developers, and potentially copywriters, photographers, and marketing specialists
            Design, production and maintenance of sales & marketing collateral 

 
 
Knowledge and experience 
 
  • At least 5 years’ experience as a digital designer for online products and services 
 
  • Knowledge & working experience of the Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc) 
 
  • Experience working with design agencies 
 
  • UI product design 
 
  • Experience in HTML, JavaScript & CSS an advantage
