Role: DB2 DBA Mainframe
Location: Worcester, MA
Duration: 6+ Months
Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
• Plan, support and manage the installation and implementation of mainframe software.
• Perform systems programming activities and coordinate project resources required to meet software maintenance and installation schedules.
• Communicate effectively with technical associates, development staffs and end users throughout the organization.
• Plan, organize, coordinate and manage complex technical projects, a well as providing technical strategy and leadership.
• Develops, manages and prepares project plans to monitor project implementation progress and schedules.
• Analyzes technical system changes and enhancements to system software in determining impact on existing systems to insure continued operations, operational stability and availability of services.
• Provide technical expertise, training and knowledge sharing as needed.
• Perform all other duties as needed or directed to meet the needs of the department.
Requirements:
• 1 to 3 years of experience in z/OS systems programming or Computer Science degree.
• Person with technical skills obtained through classroom or work experience. Knowledge of z/OS, CICS and DB2 helpful.
• Knowledge of Storage Administration using System Managed Storage for disk and virtual tape helpful.
• Other key skills include strategic thinking, project planning, project management.
• Maintain adherence to the company code of conduct
• Demonstrate an understanding of the job description, performance expectations, and competency assessment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to meeting and exceeding the needs of our customers in providing customer service and maintaining operational stability.

• Strong written, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Must be a team player and have the ability to work independently.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
