Plus: - Experience with administering, configuring IBM WebSphere Extreme Scale (WXS) and/or IBM Websphere DataPower administration.
Day to Day: This position is for a consultant to work in Middleware/Infrastructure team that supports intranet / internet facing Java / J2EE applications. The candidate MUST have a MINIMUM of 4 years hand-on experience with IBM WebSphere Administration. Responsibilities include - Support ongoing Production and non-production application environments on an on-call rotational schedule. Management of critical systems / systems processes and problem resolution /escalations of data networking and system management issues.
- Perform Websphere Application Server and MQ Administration, WSADMIN scripting.
- Installation, configuration and administration of application servers and Webservers that host intranet / internet facing Java / J2EE applications Server setup and mgmt, Infrastructure and Environment migrations.
- Automation of Healthchecks - Review current Wily alerts and custom scripts. Categorize them based on priority, set up thresholds and perform tuning to ensure manageability and also 24x7 uptime for all services.
- Use the application performance monitoring tool, CA Wily Introscope, to perform performance tuning, problem investigation and resolution in coordination with the development and support teams
- Performance tuning of J2EE applications and servers, Capacity management for organic and inorganic growth, and Fault/Trouble mgmt.
- Create and maintain support documentation for on-call and support personnel to monitor and troubleshoot production issues
