Duties and Responsibilities
? Install, configure, maintain, & upgrade various versions of applicable database software(s) which may be installed on a variety of hardware platforms.
? Proactively monitor the databases and performance monitoring and tuning of the databases.
? Implement database backups regularly and performing recovery activities when required.
? Perform coding migration, database change management & data management through the various stages of the development life cycle.
? Work closely with users & management to maintain & continually improve the operations, maintenance & documentation of the system.
? Perform as the technical expertise provider in database technologies (i.e. what’s happening new in databases, etc.).
? Ensure the data of the company isn’t compromised or breached.
? Manage applicable user accounts & security of the database.

Additional Description
• Solid experience in administering SQL Server 2005/2008R2/2012 on Windows 2008R2 or 2012
• SQL Profiler and SQL Networking
• SQL Server Clustering and Always On, mirroring and replication technologies
• SSAS, SSIS, or SSRS
• Idera and SCOM monitoring
• Writing T/SQL scripts

Job Minimum Requirements
3 years experience as a database administrator doing code migration, database change management and data management through various stages of the SDLC

Job Preferred Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology
• RDBMS certification
• Experience using backups and restores with Veritas Netbackup
• Experience in OS administration
• Experience as an application support resource

• Underlying operating system and disk subsystems
• Physical database design
• Identify, develop & document business requirements, technical requirements & functional design
• Complex technical concepts
• Database, related utilities & tools
• Different types of backup & recovery scenarios

• SQL Server Management Studio & SQL Server Configuration Manager
• Analysis Services, Reporting Service, and Integration Services
