Job Description
Maintains smooth operation of Teamcenter systems, which may involve coordination with IT, network administrators, product vendors. Interacts with users and evaluates technical aspects of supplier products. Coordinates installation of Teamcenter. Ancillary duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation.
Responsibilities include:
•Manage the configuration, installation, maintenance, and support of TeamCenter PLM software at the server and client level in different environments (production, development).
•Maintain the system architecture and solution configuration activities across Teamcenter PLM modules and integrations with other IT systems.
•Plan, test, and deploy system updates and upgrades collaborating with various business functions to coordinate outages as necessary.
•Collaborate with Database Administrators in the ongoing maintenance and structure of Teamcenter data.
•Support, test, and maintain disaster recovery plans as required.
•Perform root cause analysis, debug problems with the Teamcenter environment and work with the appropriate technical teams to develop, test, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
•Implement and maintain Teamcenter workflows, templates, client install packages, etc. collaboratively with the PLM architect and development teams.
•Document all aspects of the system such that knowledge is readily shared among all those tasked with supporting Teamcenter.
•Support business readiness and change management activities prior to go-live.
Requirements and qualifications
•Requires a Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Computer Science preferred, but not necessary)
•Requires at least 3-5 years experience managing and administering Siemens Teamcenter PLM environments
•Require experience with Engineering and Manufacturing, Bill of Material and Change Management applications
•Requires strong verbal and written communication skills
•Requires experience effectively responding to shifting priorities in a fast paced and changing environment
•Prefer experience developing tools to automate System Administration tasks including software deployment, system monitoring and routine maintenance of organization, workflows, change management etc.
