Embedded C/C++/Linux Developer (STB) Location: Philadelphia – Pennsylvania Duration: 6 months Client: Wipro Job Description: Software Integration Engineer &Embedded Linux Development Software Engineer for next generation set top box firmware stacks across multiple device types, STB manufacturers and System on a Chip (SoC) vendors. The qualified individual must have experience in embedded firmware architecture, design and development. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in software engineering with 2+ years embedded experience in and demonstrated leadership experience taking projects to a successful conclusion. Work qualifications: · Good debugging skills with and without debuggers for embedded systems. · Analytical mind with good problem solving skills. · Adept at following instructions and working with large teams under pressure. · Good communication skills in English · Must have some experience, working on test automation for embedded systems. Skill Qualifications: · Must have Cable STB background. At least 2 years development experience on Motorola/Arris/PACE Set top boxes is desirable. · 5+ years C and C++ development experience on Embedded Linux · Excellent Debugging skills using buggers, logging etc. · Experience in Defect tracking tools, source code analysis tools etc. · Experience in Linux internals and system programming · Should be having experience DVR, VOD experience
