Job Summary:
We are seeking a Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) Senior Consultant to develop/design/build/support our Client's financial consolidation & close requirements involving consolidation, Close process and reporting capabilities. The HFM Sr Consultant will provide subject matter expertise and leading practices to assist in the designing, developing, deployment, and operational support of the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Hyperion BI+ Reporting.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Lead HFM implementation work stream(s) such as:
o Understand and define functional process flow for financial consolidation and close process, optimize close cycle and minimize manual intervention/work during close process
o Work with customer and end users to define application and technical requirements; ensure that these requirements tie back to the established performance goals and that the technical direction is consistent with the long-term strategy
o Obtain stakeholder buy-in for application and technical designs
o Advising on technical designs and development best practices as a lead for the application component
• Recommend ways to enhance and accelerate the close-to-report process
• Leverage content knowledge and past experiences to recommend and deploy industry best practices in financial consolidation and close process
• Lead the operational support stream such as:
o Manage and deliver technical & functional application enhancements, upgrades
o Manage and work upon change requests(CRs) and incidents (tickets)
o Incident monitoring and SLA adherence
o Recommend and deploy application optimization methods and strategies
• Prepare key deliverables such as requirement documents, design documents, development inventory, test documentation, training materials and administration/procedural guides
• Supervise, train, and coach junior offshore team members
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• In-depth and extensive experience in HFM rules design and build (code writing)
• Development experience with HFM- metadata, memberlist, security
• Proven analytical skills to tie-out data, historical data validation, financial data analysis, data drill-down
• End-to-end experience of HFM implementation cycle including fair functional knowledge of source systems that feed in to HFM
• Technical hands on experience with all HFM components- Metadata, Rules, Memberlist, Security etc
• Very good understanding of financial accounting, finance domain and financial consolidation & close process
• Hands on experience with Hyperion Financial Reporting (HFR) development, smarview ad-hoc grids and function builder
• Proven ability delivering complex and time sensitive requests
• Proven experience providing technical leadership and application architecture design solutions for large scale enterprise clients
Education/Experience:
• Minimum 8 year experience in industry specifically in Hyperion EPM tools
• Minimum 4 year experience designing and/or developing HFM applications
• Minimum 3 HFM implementation experience
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or financial domain with strong technical expertise
