Major Purpose of Job:

Help Desk Analyst must have excellent communication skills and should be articulate and can speak clearly on the phone. Candidate must be computer literate and be familiar with common computer hardware and productivity software applications. Moreover, must have excellent judgment skills to be able to properly evaluate situations and immediately provide effective solutions.

Essential Job Functions:

The candidate should have in-depth knowledge in the following

areas (capabilities will include butare not limited to):

 

Ø  Field incoming help requests from end users via both telephone and e-mail in a courteous\professional manner.

Ø  Document all pertinent end user identification information, including name, department, contact information, and nature of problem or issue in our internal Help Desk application (SDE).

Ø  Ability to use Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to help internal users remotely.

Ø  Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting.

Ø  Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources to aid in problem resolution.

Ø  Learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization (e.g SAP, Maximo, Citrix, CRM)

Ø  Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software and configuring systems and applications.

Ø  Ability to resolve computer issues (connectivity, performance)

Ø  Ability to resolve laptop issues(connectivity, performance)

Ø  Ability to resolve printers issues (local,network)

 

Software application required to support

Ø  Windows 7 / Windows 8.1

Ø  MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access(versions 2010\2013)

Ø  MS Outlook (versions 2007\2010) – particularly .pst files

Ø  Citrix & Webmail

Ø  Cisco Jabber / Meeting Place

Ø  Active Directory / Active Roles

Ø  SAP & Maximo – password unlock\resets

Ø  Enterprise\departmental applications specific to NYPA

Ø  Periodically support other ITGroups as needed

 

Requirements:

Minimum 4years prior demonstrated experience

Ø  Minimum  -  Associate degree in Information Systems

Ø  Working knowledge of DNS, Internet Infrastructure, and IP informational tools

Ø  Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Ø  Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.

Ø  Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.

Ø  Ability work independently with minimal supervision

Ø  Sitting for extended periods of time.

Ø  General Troubleshooting skills with various hardware (Laptops, iPads, Tablets, iPhones, Desktops, Printers)
