Job Title: SAP BASIS Administrator
Location: Mounds view, MN
Duration: 1 year +
Job Description:
Our large medical device client is looking SAP BASIS Administrator to work as hands-on administrator to maintain/support a global SAP environment including troubleshooting problems, escalating open issues, implementing solutions, monitoring of systems, prevention of outages, and optimize the system for maximum performance. The consultant would work the weekend shift between their Mounds view and Woodbury locations. Working hours would be Friday to Sunday (12 hours *3 days - 9 AM CDT to 9 PM) OR Friday to Monday (10 hours *4 days - 10 AM CDT to 9 PM)
Responsibilities include:
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems and risks to the environment. This may include working cross functionally with other technology teams, geographies and disciplines.
· Responsible for developing and maintaining the technical details for SOPs (refresh, migrations, configuration, installs, etc.) and ensure are followed to maintain a viable system
· Plan and participate into quarterly releases / infrastructure outages. Execute tasks per plan.
· Provide technical expertise and direction to drive effective operations related to support activities.
· Serve as liaison to vendor support/technical staff to escalate, analyze, and resolve issues.
· Work with other related technology teams displaying insight and knowledge to understand and influence technical direction and strategy.
· Able to work independently as well as cooperatively
Required Skills:
· Undergraduate degree
· 5+ years working in role of a SAP Basis Administrator having demonstrated experience supporting production operations and maintenance of both SAP NetWeaver ABAP and JAVA systems
· Knowledge of working on SAP ECC, BW, APO, CRM, Portal etc.
· Experience administering SAP systems running on IBM AIX / DB2
