The CFO-IT organization is driving business change through Finance Systems Transformation. Under this initiative, Verizon financial reporting is being transformed with a centralized Corporate Performance Management (CPM) program. This will require staffing with versatile skill sets across both IT and financial functional domains. In enabling this transformation, CPM is staffing to support financial reporting, analysis, business intelligence and visual analytics for Verizon. The person filling this position must have broad business knowledge of financial and operational functions. The candidate should have a solid understanding of IT architecture & processes, SDLC life cycle and the DevOps Automation.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for designing and developing user interactive dashboards for the financial applications
• Enable business users with self-service reporting capabilities and support financial users in building analytical reports using Tableau Desktop 8.x/9.x, Qlik sense, Hyperion Financial Reporting and Oracle BI
• Responsible for configuring, maintaining and supporting Reporting server architecture using Tableau server 8.x/9.x and OBIEE 11.x
• Ability to architect reports connecting to disparate data sources includes relational databases like Oracle. Teradata, SQL server, MS Access…Etc., Hyperion Essbase, Financial management, Planning and ERP systems on SAP and PeopleSoft
• Ability to build sophisticated analysis reports into a drag-and-drop visual analytics environment using MDX Queries and R Open source Language
• Solid experience in working with Multi-dimensional hierarchies and OLAP cubes.
• Should have understanding of Load balancing, high availability concepts and experience in working with Single Sign On (SSO) enterprise architectures.
Top 3 Requirements (Any resumes lacking these skills will be rejected):
• 2 to 3 years of experience in designing & building Visual analytics and interactive Reporting Dashboards.
• The candidate should have played lead role and implemented the financial BI and Data Warehousing applications.
• Hands-On experience with OLAP cubes and Multi-dimensional hierarchies, Star Schema and Metadata management systems.
Education requirements:
• 4 years degree in information systems development.
Job/Technical Requirements:
• 8+ yrs. of software industry experience with 5+ years in a Business Intelligence Analyst role.
• 2 to 3 years of experience in designing & building Visual analytics and interactive Reporting environments
• Strong background in finance & accounting systems and business processes
• Solid experience in working with Multi-dimensional hierarchies, OLAP cubes and Data warehousing applications
• Experience with Oracle product suite of applications like Essbase, Smart view and financial Reporting
• Experience with Linux and Windows OS and applications
Desired Skills (Resumes will not be rejected for lacking these skills):
• Ability to build sophisticated analysis reports into a drag-and-drop visual analytics environment using MDX Queries and R Open source Language
• Must be proficient with developing custom reports, configuring analytics platforms on various operating systems like windows, Linux…Etc.
• Should have understanding of Load balancing, high availability concepts and experience in working with Single Sign On (SSO) enterprise architectures.
• Interact with business partners and offshore teams to ensure solutions are designed and developed in meeting the requirements
• Proactively work with other members of the team to complete assigned tasks as defined by the scope and timelines
• Analyzes requirements and designs solutions for the projects and change requests
• Candidate must have excellent analytical, communications, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to do Multi-tasking and a hands-on approach to every task assigned are required skills.
• Ensures that developed code modules are in compliance with best practices, standards, and adhere to the enterprise architecture
