ETL Analyst
Irving, TX
6 Months Contract
 
Consultant with 10+ years exp will be an ideal match.
 
 
The ETL Analyst will be a member of the Analytics team responsible for development and support of EDW, reporting marts and related processes. This role relies on in depth T-SQL knowledge as well as advanced skills in data manipulation to translate requirements into analysis and information.
 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Analyze, understand business requirements, write specifications, create source to target mappings and build ETL code;
  • Develop, test and maintain ETL processes using stored procedures and SSIS packages
  • ETL processes must address performance, dependency, auditing, error handling and data quality
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to specifications
  • Identify/troubleshoot code-related issues; review and provide feedback
  • Support the changes post deployment by debugging, fixing, and participating in maintenance
 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Advanced skills in T-SQL, SSIS packages and stored procedures with 10+ years' experience
  • 8+ years of ETL and data warehouse experience
  • Ability to develop and organize high-quality documentation
  • Ability to effectively move forward on tasks even with ambiguous or changing requirements
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated, analytical and detail oriented with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication skills
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server 2008 and newer
  • Experience in data extraction and manipulation
  • Experience in data architecture
