Position 2: Java Tester - Location: Culver City, CA (Southern CA)
Duration: 6+ Months
Start Date: ASAP
Key Skills: Core Java Coding experience- Develop test automation framework using Java. This positon requires very good development experience. Interview process involves coding.
Technical experience includes:
- Java, J-Unit, N-Unit, Python, Selenium, Java script, familiar with SQL and non SQL DB's, Web Services Testing
- Knowledge of: Tomcat, XML, JSON, RabbitMQ, Spring, Eclipse, Maven, Shell scripting
- Experience in software testing / coding to target different Windows and UNIX Operating Systems - (32/64 bits), Unicode
Key Responsibilities:
To test a cloud based product you would need to have front and backend testing skills.
Development of a web-based dashboard for displaying tests data and the development of a web-based test console for creating custom test scripts
Work closely with the developers and the product managers to ensure continuous improvement of the Automation Framework and its level of coverage
Work closely with the manual QA engineering team to automate the existing test cases for both Black-box and White-box testing
Work with the Symantec-built Automation Framework to distribute and execute the test package under various Operating Systems / Environments
Test planning, design, and execution of both manual and automated test procedures
Develop JAVA library for functional testing using the product’s API
Develop Python test scripts for Windows Client automation, Web automation, Backend-API automation and Performance testing automation
Optimize existing test scripts to run faster and more robustly
Work in a dynamic, fast paced, Agile team environment
