Title: Data Visualization Developer Duration: Temp-perm Rate/Salary: DOE; $100K Salary Location: Washington DC BLS is looking for someone with strong data visualization skills and Tableau software experience to work with users to modify some existing Tableau code, create some new visualizations, and eventually create requirements for us to develop systems (not based on Tableau) to support the BLS national Compensation Survey (NCS) micro-data review and estimate review processes. Responsibilities: - Work with BLS to modify the existing application per their requirements
- Develop new data visualizations.
- Develop requirements for a to-be system that will not be developed in Tableau.
- BLS is selecting another software to replace Tableau.
Qualifications: - Programming experience in Tableau
- Strong analytical skills to develop requirements for to-be systems
- Experience writing technical specifications for software development projects
- Experience in unit and system testing, developing test data and documenting test plans
MUST HAVE's - At least 5 years' experience in planning, conducting, coordinating the development of complex computer activities
- One (1) year of developing and analyzing requirements to develop emerging software development technology
- Tableau programming experience
- Data Visualization experience
- Ability to analyze existing system and gather requirements for to-be system
