Position : DW/BI Solution Architect
Location: Berlin, CT
Duration: 3 months
 
Job Description:
 
The DW/BI Architect is responsible for the assessment of business requirements, collection and identification of technical specifications, and the subsequent development of technology solutions.
 
Responsibilities:
·         Responsible for delivery of the road mapping  and BI assessment exercise for client
·         Lead discussion with Business and IT stakeholders to understand current processes and pain points.
·         Develop business cases by assessing current platform capabilities and future state vision
·         Manage all aspects of a BI technical roadmap, including platform requirements and support for end-user BI tools
 
Required Skill Set:
·         Experience of leading the BI assessment and road mapping exercise for large clients
·         Minimum of 10+ years of experience in design and implementation of DW/BI solutions, DWH data modelling.
·         Extensive knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence best practices, processes, tools, standards, and methodologies
·         Outstanding knowledge of Data Modelling and Database Design
·         Good knowledge of analysis, architecture and development Data design patterns and how to apply them
·         Should have experience in defining Canonical in the form of Common Data Models for utilities domain .
·         Utilities domain knowledge with experience of working in any standard utilities data model. Preferably in Teradata ULDM
·         Database Technology:  Oracle, Teradata or any other appliance database
·         ETL Technology: Informatica, DataStage
·         BI Technology: OBIEE
·         Team player – able to build and facilitate excellent cross functional relationships, identify opportunities to unlock strategic value and develop pragmatic approaches to realise enduring benefit.
·         Excellent oral and written communications skills must be able to communicate and present ideas at all levels of the business and influence key business/IT stakeholders
·         Extensive experience of Data Architecture, ideally within a Telecommunication Provider or similar domain environment.
