Job Title: QA Testing
Location: San Ramon, CA
Duration: 6+ Months

Essential Job Functions:
1. Analyzes business requirements, design documents for completeness and testability.
2. Develops test plans, test scenarios, test cases, test data, test environment and test scripts for different types of testing activities.
3. Performs execution of test cases, test scripts, captures test results, test metrics and reports them.
4. Identifies and tracks system defects, Performs root cause analysis of the defects and works with the development team and business owners to resolve them.
5. Partners with test leads and cross functional teams to develop and establish Quality Assurance standards and best practices.
6. Performs and coordinates system verification and validation test activities utilizing tools such as Application lifecycle Management.
7. Develop procedures, template and work instructions for implementing QA best practices and testing standards.
8. Performs UAT activities to ensure the applications and products and/or releases are in compliance with the Quality Assurance standards of the organization.
9. Provides mentorship to junior Quality Assurance Analysts as needed.
Qualifications:
Job Specifications:
· Required Education or Equivalent Experience
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
· SQL and data testing experience is a must, ETL Testing experience is a plus. Experience with scripting and PL/SQL is desired.
· Experience building automation frameworks from scratch
Required Experience:
· 5-7 Years of Experience with Quality Assurance processes and testing methodologies focusing on large data sets, data conversion and/or data migration testing.
· 4+ years DB Experience in writing complex SQLs, DB Design, Schema, Data modeling and ETL
· 3+ years hands-on Experience in OO languages and shell scripting
· 3+ years working experience in Agile SDLC, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment
· Experience with databases like oracle, Teradata is needed
· Familiarity with Business Intelligence multi-dimensional modeling concepts.
· Excellent written & verbal communication required. Ability to communicate at all levels.
· Functional Test Area: Develops subject matter expertise with source systems to understand data mapping
· Performance & Security Test Area: Performs Performance and/or Security testing of different applications and products for multiple projects.
· Automation Test Area: Performs test automation utilizing testing tools such as HP Quality Center / Application Lifecycle Management, HP Quick Test Professional, VB Script based Macro etc.
· White Box Test Area: Performs white box, grey box testing of applications and products for multiple projects.
Test Process Area: Defines, documents Quality Assurance testing processes, best practices and test governance. Develops procedures, templates and work instructions for implementing Quality Assurance best practices and testing standards. Provides guidance, training and mentoring to Quality Assurance and project teams.
