SBC SOLUTIONS INC has partnered with an elite Financial Firm to build a team of Mid and Senior Software Developers in Test. Each Senior SDET will be a part of a small team of 2-4 testers. The Developers in Test will be creating/ extending the JTAF using core Java or other object oriented programming language. We are hiring developers to join the testing teams. The Developers in test will work in an Agile, test driven development environment, where the testers are required to code (primarily in JAVA, .NET or other OO Language). Coding allows the testers to perform enhanced application testing and allows them to build/extend test automation frameworks in JAVA (based on open source automation frameworks). SDET's will be doing 70+% coding as part of the test strategy. The SDET team will get to work with emerging technology and open source technology to stay ahead of the development curve. Additional Job Info: Concepts that an SDET candidate should be familiar with and have experience with: API's (testing an API), Collection Methods Lists, Maps, Hash Maps Threadsafe Threading, Multi-threading Recursive Functions Sort Queries New string array New string object Java main method / main method signature for java class. Algorithm and Patterns experience preferred. Responsibilities: -
Develop automation code, scripts, utilities, simulators, data generators, API/Interface testing solutions and other programmatic test tools as required to execute tests. -
Ownership of automation architecture (Both Functional and Performance). -
Create test plans and test strategies. -
Lead a team of Developers in Test. -
Champion the collaborative resolution of defects and direct internal process improvement initiatives -
Reviews of system architecture, code and design documents. -
Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats. -
Responsible for identifying project risks and develop mitigation strategies. -
Possess domain expertise in the project involved. -
Assist with adherence to technology policies and comply with all security controls. -
Continually look for ways to innovate and improve testing process to gain efficiencies.
Requirements: -
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or Engineering. -
10+ years of cumulative experience in software development and/or test automation. -
Excellent understanding of testing process, test types and testing methodologies. -
Demonstrated understanding and experience with object oriented design. -
Strong experience with programming in Java (preferred), C++, C#, or Ruby. -
Demonstrated understanding and application of algorithms to test solutions. -
Extensive experience with SQL and relational database design. -
Excellent written and oral communication skills. -
Demonstrable experience of common development technologies (AJAX, J2EE/.NET, Javascript, HTML, XML/XSL, JSON, Web Services [SOAP, REST], Maven/Ant etc.). -
Experience using test tools such as Selenium WebDriver and JMeter. -
Experience in Cloud (AWS). -
Financial services industry experience preferred.
