This role will be split between integration architecture & solution architecture (50/50). The most challenging piece is the integration architecture.
The Architect provides integration, architecture and technology guidance to project delivery teams as they develop client solutions. The Architect IV will have key involvement in building out our business aligned initiatives. The Architect provides expertise and counsel; ensuring technology teams and business areas understand the architectural options and technology choices in support of their business. Architects recommend solutions that account for total cost of ownership, risk and leverage (or advance) strategic enterprise assets. Architects are assigned one or more areas of focus. Infrastructure, Solution Portfolio, Line of Business, Data, Suite of Technologies or Applications, Enterprise, Service).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contribute to, design and/or develop an architecture framework including technology architecture strategy, policies, ‘guiding principles’ and standards to govern how technology solutions will be developed and implemented
• Research/analyze business requirements to evaluate and recommend optimal solutions within technology architecture
• Contribute to the development of project plans by providing input and manage projects/initiatives by directing assigned resources, communicating project status and providing timely escalation of issues
• Ensure projects are compliant with technology architecture and design/operate processes to provide ongoing review of in-progress activity against technology architecture and development standards
• Provide expert consultation and participate as a subject matter expert on projects
• Apply knowledge of business requirements and architecture to the maintenance and enhancement of the enterprise-wide and/or project specific architecture framework
• Apply industry/technical knowledge to provide solutions that increase business results and/or minimize risk
• Contribute to meeting key project milestones and overall project deliverables on time, within budget, adhering to standards
• Conduct pre and post implementation reviews, ensuring all technical solutions have met business requirements
• Develop/maintain expertise in architecture planning, processes and standards
• Develop/maintain a proficient knowledge of system development methodologies, key business initiatives / issues, IT implications for systems or technologies and their impact on business solutions
• Architectural specialist that works autonomously on highly complex and diverse projects/ issues
• Oversees other architects and IT professionals on complex, highly-visible architecture projects
• May provide leadership/ consulting/ direction to a larger team on all aspects of architecture to ensure advanced learning occurs
• Primary subject matter expert with specialized knowledge related to architecture of multiple TD applications and/or lines of business
• Provide recommendations on value-added architectural improvements / enhancements
• Work with other Architects to ensure that all the components are integrated to meet objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements
• Validate that the integration solution and integration designs utilize the integration architecture components appropriately
• Work closely with the Application and Solution Architects to ensure all the solution integration needs are met (e.g., application interfaces, data integration, integration architecture services, etc.)
• Work closely with the Solution Designers to define a coherent integration technical design, aligning to the conceptual and functional designs
• Review the integration deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans and standards
• Provide thought leadership and management in WebServices and Integration space, actively participate and influence SOA CoE driven initiatives and the Enterprise level
• Monitor services performance and recommend any changes to SLA patterns or the creation of a new SLA pattern to address operational issues
• Monitor services operations and recommend any changes to policies or the creation of a new policies to address operational issues
• Monitor SOA metrics, (e.g., re-use of services and frequency of service use) and provide metrics to relevant stakeholders
