Position: SQL Developer

Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
The product specialist position is instrumental to ensure that the application is properly installed and configured to the customer needs. During the life of the project, the product specialist is responsible for all IT and interface aspects of the project that is applicable to the DDR/RPO or IM/Rm applications.
When not directly dedicated to a project, the product specialist works with the support group to resolve high severity tickets.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be able to work independently and in a professional manner at a customer site
- Strong understanding of SQL and the ability to write stored procedures
- Deployment of solution to customer environment, including technical aspect of installing and configuring the product to suite customer specific needs
- First line of support for Customers, acquiring details of the problem, verifying product configuration and environment information.
- Assist with driving test plans to ensure that the application is properly configured to meet the goals of the customer
- Ability to act as a consultant to determine best practices and best fit for each customer
- Ability to document requirements and communicate requirements to development
- Conduct customer end-user training related to all application functions
- Understanding of customer needs and ability to articulate how such needs can be dealt with within our solutions set
- Must be a US citizen. No dual citizenships
- Must be able to pass basic government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in the retail or IT industry
- 3 to 5 years of experience supporting application implementations
- Understanding of SQL utilities
- Understanding of the grocery, c-store, or retail related industry
- Strong Customer Service skills
- Strong analytical skills to identify, reproduce, and log activities identified in the application
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to travel 40 to 75% required
- Very good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate will in all levels of management from end users to C-level groups depending on customers.
- Ability to create training and provide training to users as needed
