ROLE: Senior Linux Architect with Virtualization experience.
 
SKILLS:
  • 3-7 Years OIL &GAS experience
  • Must have knowledge of Linux HA solutions and virtualization
  • Must have strong fundamentals regarding server-client network topology.
  • Must know how to create scripting for software languages, such as Shell, Perl or C and C++
  • Linux OS and experience
  • Proven skills in automation and virtualization
  • Proven skills in managing changes to servers
  • Proven skills in executing changes – planning and review
  • Have worked in organization that deal with massive amounts of data (seismic data)
  • Implementing validation and verification practices in an Linux test environment
  • Solving real-time issues with the assistance of co-workers and engineers
  • Delivering technical services to the service level required by the company
  • Performing configuration, installation, migration, maintenance, administration and tuning
  • Troubleshooting the server infrastructure
  • Configuring various software and hardware for Linux initiatives support
  • Performing patch management, upgrades and installations
  • Handling technical escalation from clients
  • Working on technology and process improvement for the benefit of the team
  • Efficiently providing proactive support through change management and capacity planning and
  • Documenting procedures and processes related to systems administration
